A man who had just left the sidewalk on Monterey and East Market streets in Salinas succumbed to his injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Monday night, October 21, 2024.
According to the Salinas Police Department, the incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. when a Toyota SUV collided with the pedestrian. The victim was subsequently transported to the hospital for treatment.
Salinas police confirmed that the suspect remained at the scene following the incident, and it was determined that the collision did not involve DUI.
