[10-13-2024] Woman Arrested After Hit-and-Run Incident Involving Scooter Riders in Suisun CityA 22-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly hitting two people riding scooters and driving off in Suisun City on Sunday evening, October 13, 2024.

Officers responded to reports of a pedestrian struck in the 600 block of Railroad Avenue just after 7:30 p.m. 

Upon arrival, they found two individuals injured, a 17-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man. Witnesses reported that the two were riding scooters in the roadway when they were struck from behind by a speeding vehicle.

According to police, the impact caused the 17-year-old rider to be thrown into the air and onto the suspect’s windshield. The driver fled the scene immediately following the collision.

The 17-year-old victim sustained a head injury and was transported to an area hospital for treatment, while the 20-year-old was assessed at the scene and did not require hospitalization.

Around 9 p.m. that same night, the suspected driver contacted the Suisun City Police Department regarding the incident. She was subsequently arrested and booked into the Solano County Jail for hit-and-run with injury.

The investigation is ongoing.
