A head-on collision between two vehicles left one person dead in Monterey County on Sunday evening, October 6, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 5:05 p.m. on Reservation Road, just south of East Garrison Drive.
A gray Toyota traveling north collided head-on with a southbound white Acura that had crossed into the northbound lane. The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene, while the Acura driver was taken to Natividad Medical Center with unknown injuries.
CHP suspects DUI as a potential factor in the crash. There is no additional information immediately available.
