[09-28-2024] One Person Hospitalized After Two Separate Crashes Send Cars Into Buildings in Pico-UnionOne person was hospitalized after two separate crashes sent vehicles crashing into buildings in Pico-Union, Los Angeles, on Saturday evening, September 28, 2024.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the first crash occurred around 7:40 p.m. near Venice Boulevard and Orchard Avenue. 

Firefighters from the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene, where two cars had collided, sending one vehicle into a business. The impact caused one person to be transported to the hospital, while two others were evaluated at the scene by paramedics.

Just 12 minutes later, emergency crews were dispatched to West Pico Boulevard and Menlo Avenue for another similar incident. A two-car collision resulted in one of the vehicles crashing into what appeared to be an auto shop. The second vehicle involved in the crash caught fire, but the flames were quickly extinguished by firefighters.

Both incidents are currently under investigation.
