Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian severely injured in National City on Wednesday evening, September 25, 2024.
The crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. on East Plaza Boulevard, where a man was struck by a vehicle while dealing with a tow strap issue on a truck.
After hitting the pedestrian, the driver fled the scene. First responders arrived and transported the man to a local hospital with major injuries.
As of Thursday morning, authorities are still searching for the driver and the vehicle involved in the crash.
No description of the vehicle has been released at this time.
