At least one person was injured after a three-vehicle crash involving a commercial big rig in the Casa de Oro area, San Diego County, on Tuesday morning, September 10, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 7:00 a.m. on the westbound 94 freeway when a commercial big rig slammed into the back of a truck, which then collided with a minivan.
The big rig rolled off the freeway and came to a stop on its side between the off-ramp and city streets, leaving a load that needed to be unloaded before it could be righted.
The diesel truck involved in the crash was leaking fuel, and both vehicles required additional handling to be cleared from the scene. The extent of injuries and the exact cause of the crash remain unclear.
