[09-03-2024] San Bernardino County, CA – Woman Critically Injured and Airlifted After T-Bone Collision in Victorville

A woman sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to a trauma center following a T-bone collision in Victorville on Tuesday morning, September 3, 2024.

The crash occurred around 9:45 a.m. at the intersection of Amargosa Road and Smoke Tree Road. The incident involved a white Volkswagen Jetta and a black Toyota Scion TC.

Victorville City Fire responded to the scene and reported that the female driver of the Scion was trapped and required extrication. Firefighters requested a helicopter, and Mercy Air landed on Amargosa Road, airlifting the injured woman to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

The female driver of the Volkswagen also sustained injuries and was transported via ground ambulance to a nearby hospital. Her son, who arrived at the scene, mentioned that his mother was on her way to work at the toy factory just down the street.

The Victorville Police Department is currently investigating the cause of the accident.
