A two-vehicle crash on Madison Avenue in Carmichael, Sacramento County, resulted in major injuries on Friday afternoon, August 30, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 4:25 p.m. at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Dewey Drive.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, and multiple lanes on Madison Avenue were blocked as of 4:33 p.m.
At least one person sustained major injuries in the collision. The roadway was reopened as of 5:23 p.m., but drivers in the area experienced some delays.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
