One person was killed, and another was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash in Lake Elsinore early Monday morning, September 2, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 3:16 a.m. on the southbound 15 Freeway at Highway 74.
Authorities stated that a tow truck driver reported that their vehicle was rear-ended by a white Chevrolet Cruze sedan, leaving the car in pieces.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, and another was transported by ground ambulance to a hospital with serious injuries, as confirmed by the Riverside County Fire Department.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
