A woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run vehicle in Gardena late Saturday night, August 24, 2024.
According to the Gardena Police Department, the incident occurred around 11:55 p.m. in the 1600 block of Rosecrans Avenue.
Officers arrived at the scene and found the woman lying in the roadway. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
Authorities stated that the driver was traveling eastbound on Rosecrans Avenue when they struck the pedestrian. The driver did not remain at the scene and fled in the vehicle.
