A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Monterey Park on Tuesday morning, August 20, 2024.

According to the Monterey Park Police Department, the incident occurred around 11:00 a.m. in the 100 block of South Atlantic Boulevard.

Officers responded to the scene and found the man injured. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released pending notification of his family.
