One person is dead, and another was injured following a head-on crash involving big-rig on Highway 152 north of Hollister on Saturday morning, August 17, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at around 8:00 a.m. when a man driving a sedan eastbound on Highway 152, just east of San Felipe, crossed into the westbound lane and collided head-on with a big rig.
The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the big rig sustained minor injuries and was transported for treatment.
The CHP stated that it is currently unknown if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
