A 25-year-old male rider was killed, and a passenger was injured after a motorcycle accident in San Diego on Saturday, August 10, 2024.
According to preliminary reports, the decedent was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle with a passenger along the 5200 block of Imperial Avenue when the motorcycle collided with a parked Chevrolet pickup truck. The impact of the collision ejected both the driver and the passenger from the motorcycle.
Law enforcement and fire personnel were immediately dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, officers found the motorcyclist unresponsive. Due to the obvious trauma sustained in the collision, the decedent was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local emergency department for further treatment.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
