A child passenger was injured after a single-vehicle crash in Palm Springs on Tuesday morning, August 13, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred shortly after 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of State Route 111 and Overture Drive.
CHP said that a Volvo with a female driver and child passenger, for some reason, slammed into a palm tree and a sign pole near the intersection. The Volvo was the only vehicle involved in the collision.
The child passenger was reportedly transported to a local hospital after sustaining minor injuries. Meanwhile, the woman driving the Volvo did not report any injuries at the scene.
The investigation into the collision is still ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident is strongly encouraged to contact the authorities as soon as possible.
