[07-31-2024] San Bernardino County, CA – Two People Seriously Injured Following Vehicle Vs. Semi-Truck Crash in Oro Grande

Two people were seriously injured following a vehicle vs. semi-truck crash in Oro Grande, San Bernardino County, early Wednesday morning, July 31, 2024.

According to the Victorville Fire Department, the accident occurred at about 1:04 a.m. near the intersection of Wilderness Court and National Trails Highway.

The incident involved a Nissan Sentra occupied by two people and a blue Peterbilt 389 tractor-trailer. The specifics of the incident remain unclear, but authorities described it as a severe collision due to the severity of the injuries it inflicted.

Authorities said that the two occupants of the Nissan, later identified as 23-year-old Francisco C. and 25-year-old Alexis F., suffered major injuries due to the collision. Both of them were transported to an out-of-area trauma center for immediate medical care. Their current conditions were not immediately provided.

The official cause of the accident is still under investigation. As a precaution, National Trails Highway was closed between Air Expressway and First Street.
