One person was killed after a pedestrian vs. vehicle crash in La Crescenta, Los Angeles County, on Wednesday night, July 31, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 9:00 p.m. on the eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway near the La Crescenta Avenue exit.
Authorities stated that a pedestrian, whose name, age, and gender were not immediately available, was running on the freeway when they were struck by a vehicle. The victim sustained major injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
It is unknown why the victim was running on the freeway. There is no word yet on the official cause of the collision. Currently, the investigators are gathering all the necessary information to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
