One person was killed following a pedestrian vs. vehicle collision in Mead Valley, Riverside County, on Wednesday morning, July 31, 2024.
According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the fatal accident happened at about 8:46 a.m. in the 23300 block of Cajalco Road.
Upon arrival, responding firefighters found the pedestrian with severe injuries and pronounced them dead at the scene shortly after. The name, age, and gender of the deceased victim were not disclosed. What the victim was doing along the roadway at the time of the accident is also still unclear.
There is no word yet on whether the driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene or was injured.
Additional information was not immediately available, and the authorities are still gathering all the necessary details to determine the circumstances surrounding the deadly crash.
