A pedestrian was possibly injured after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in French Camp, San Joaquin County, on Tuesday evening, July 30, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 9:25 p.m. at West Mathews Road and Bright Road.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, including how the collision occurred and what the victim was doing along the roadway at that time.
CHP said that the pedestrian may have sustained injuries as a result of the crash but did not specify its extent. The victim’s name, age, and gender were also undisclosed.
Police have yet to release an official description of the hit-and-run vehicle and the suspect driver. Authorities are still on the hunt for the suspect.
