[07-30-2024] Tulare County, CA – Woman Killed, Another Injured Following Two-Vehicle Head-On Collision Near Dinuba

A woman was killed, while another was injured following a two-vehicle head-on collision near Dinuba on Tuesday morning, July 30, 2024.

According to the responding officials, the traffic crash occurred just before 8:00 a.m. on Avenue 400 and Road 74, just south of the city.

Reports indicated that a woman driving an unspecified vehicle was going east on Avenue 400 when it miscalculated while passing another car, resulting in a head-on crash against an SUV going the opposite way.

Medical responders pronounced the woman dead on the scene. Apart from her gender, no other information was released about the identity of the deceased.

The SUV driver, another woman, suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital for further medical care. She is expected to survive, said the authorities.

It is not immediately known if alcohol, drugs, or speeding played a role in the fatal accident. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
