[07-23-2024] Two Bicyclists Injured After Being Struck by Hit-And-Run Vehicle Along South Higuera StreetTwo bicyclists were injured after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in San Luis Obispo on Tuesday noon, July 23, 2024.

According to the San Luis Obispo Police Department, the crash happened around noon on South Higuera Street near the cemetery.

SLOPD said that the cyclists were riding southbound on South Higuera Street when, for some reason, a car struck them. It is said that the driver of the vehicle did not stop to help the victims nor call 911. 

The victims, whose names, ages, and genders were not immediately available, were confirmed to be injured. The extent of the injuries they sustained and their current conditions were also undisclosed at the time of writing.

A nearby building’s surveillance camera captured an image of the suspect vehicle, a white car, as it drove past. Authorities have yet to release an official description of the hit-and-run driver.
