INJURED IN AN ACCIDENT?

[07-15-2024] San Bernardino County, CA – Two People Injured, Including Juvenile, After Two-Vehicle Crash in Hesperia

Two people were injured, including a juvenile, after a two-vehicle crash in Hesperia on Monday night, July 15, 2024.

According to the Hesperia Police Department, the collision happened around 10:03 p.m. at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Sycamore Street.

Authorities stated that a white Toyota Scion and a gray Dodge Ram 1500 were involved in the incident. Initial investigation showed that the Scion’s female driver failed to stop at the posted stop sign at the intersection. As a result, the vehicle collided with the Dodge, which was approaching the intersection without a stop sign.

Upon arrival, the officials found a male juvenile bleeding from the head. It appeared that the juvenile was the passenger in the Scion. Both the female driver of the Scion and her juvenile passenger were transported to a hospital with injuries. As of this writing, their current condition is unknown.

Meanwhile, the truck driver did not require medical aid at the scene. It is unclear what caused the collision, but speeding and impaired driving are being investigated as possible factors.

The HPD is doing further investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.

No additional details were released.

Don’t Know What To Do After An Accident?

Your safety and rights depend on what you do next after an accident. Remember the following steps if you find yourself in one:

  • Check yourself for any injuries.
  • Stay on the scene, call 9-1-1, and wait for emergency responders.
  • Move your vehicle to the road shoulder if safe; turn on hazard lights.
  • Fully cooperate with law enforcement and stay until cleared to leave.
  • Document the scene and injuries with photos and videos.
  • Seek immediate medical attention.
  • Contact your insurance company and find a personal injury lawyer for legal advice.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You

Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
