A 38-year-old male rider was hospitalized after a motorcycle vs. vehicle collision in Redding on Wednesday afternoon, July 17, 2024.
According to the Redding Police Department, the incident occurred at about 12:54 p.m. on Hartnell Avenue near Rockabye Lane.
For reasons still under investigation, the motorcyclist, 38-year-old Michael G., crashed into a minivan driven by 33-year-old Kelly H. At the time of writing, further information concerning the incident’s circumstances, including the make or model of the vehicles involved, was not available.
Michael G. reportedly suffered major injuries as a result of the crash. He was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment and is currently in an unspecified condition. The driver of the minivan, meanwhile, appeared to be uninjured.
RPD believes that drug or alcohol impairment is not a factor in the accident.
