[07-16-2024] Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Hit-And-Run Vehicle Near Wall StreetA pedestrian was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in Downtown Los Angeles on early Tuesday morning, July 16, 2024. 

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the fatal crash happened around 3:30 a.m. on Fourth Street near Wall Street. 

The responding officers said that a male pedestrian was walking in the street when a vehicle turned left and struck him. Upon arrival, the police pronounced him dead on the scene. The victim appears to be in the 50s, but his name and place of origin were not immediately disclosed. 

Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle that struck the man fled the scene following the collision. There is no word yet on the vehicle’s make and model as well as on the identity of the suspect. It is unknown whether drugs and alcohol contributed to the crash. 

The hit-and-run driver remains at large. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the investigators at 323-455- 4187.
