[07-14-2024] San Joaquin County, CA – 22-Year-Old Woman Killed Following Suspected Two-Vehicle DUI Collision in Stockton

[07-14-2024] 22-Year-Old Woman Killed Following Suspected Two-Vehicle DUI Collision in Stockton A 22-year-old woman was killed following a suspected two-vehicle DUI collision in Stockton on early Sunday morning, July 14, 2024. 

According to the Stockton Police Department, the crash happened just before 1:00 a.m. in the Lakeview District near Quail Lakes Drive and North Pershing Avenue. 

Authorities stated that a 22-year-old woman was driving her vehicle in the Lakeview District when, for unknown reasons, she was broadsided by another vehicle. She was immediately transported to the hospital but later died from her injuries. 

The driver of the vehicle that struck the woman’s car was identified as 24-year-old Estrella P. by the police. Upon investigation, reports showed that she had a blood alcohol content higher than 0.08%. 

Estrella P. was arrested and booked into San Joaquin County Jail for several charges, including two felony counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and vehicle manslaughter with gross negligence. 

The crash remains under investigation. No further information was released as of this writing.
