[07-09-2024] San Diego County, CA – Three People Hospitalized After Suspected Single-Vehicle DUI Crash in Chula Vista

[07-09-2024] Three People Hospitalized After Suspected Single-Vehicle DUI Crash in Chula VistaThree people were hospitalized after a suspected single-vehicle DUI crash in Chula Vista early Tuesday morning, July 9, 2024.

According to the Chula Vista Police Department, the vehicular accident occurred just before 12:30 a.m. at the 1700 block of Wueste Road near the Olympic Training Center.

CVPD said that a blue Ford Mustang carrying three people was traveling along Wueste Road when its driver suddenly lost control and went off the road before rolling down a nearby ravine.

The driver and its front passenger reportedly got ejected from the vehicle as it was rolling over, while the other passenger was trapped inside the wreckage. Responders had to cut through the vehicle to rescue the trapped passenger, who was then brought up to the hillside for immediate medical attention.

All three occupants of the Ford Mustang were hospitalized for varying degrees of injuries. CVPD then confirmed that the two passengers were listed in critical condition, while their driver only suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the single-vehicle collision is still under investigation. However, investigators are seemingly convinced that alcohol impairment contributed to it. No arrests have been made yet as of this writing.

Additional information was not immediately available.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You

Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
