INJURED IN AN ACCIDENT?

[07-01-2024] San Diego County, CA – 36-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Injured After Being Struck By Hit-And-Run Vehicle in Mountain View

A 36-year-old male pedestrian was injured after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in San Diego on Monday afternoon, July 1, 2024. 

According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash happened around 4:30 p.m. along 600 South 38th Street in Mountain View. 

Authorities stated that a male pedestrian was crossing the street from east to west when, for undetermined reasons, he was struck by a 2012 Volkswagen Routan. Upon the arrival of the officers, the victim was found unresponsive on the roadway and transported to a hospital. 

As of this writing, the extent of his injuries as well as his current condition, were not immediately known. 

Police said that the driver of the vehicle that hit the victim was described as a woman. It was reported that she failed to see the pedestrian, causing her vehicle to collide with the man. After the crash, she refused to call the authorities and drove away from the scene. 

No additional information is available on the suspect’s identity. Anyone who witnessed the incident is encouraged to come forward and cooperate with the investigation. 

Further details on the collision have yet to be released. The investigation continues.
