A biker was injured after a bicycle vs. vehicle collision in Carmichael, Sacramento County, on Monday morning, June 17, 2024.
According to the authorities, the crash happened at about 7:25 a.m. on the Garfield Avenue and Robertson Avenue intersection.
Initial reports suggest that the bicyclist was almost not moving when he was suddenly struck by a vehicle traveling along the roadway at less than ten mph. Despite the relatively slow speed of the suspect car, the biker still received minor injuries as a result of the incident. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
None of the parties involved were identified as of this writing. There is no word yet on the current condition of the victim.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation. It is not immediately known if drugs or alcohol played a role.
