Three people were injured following a two-vehicle collision near Bakersfield on Thursday morning, June 27, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened just after 7:00 a.m. at the intersection of Getty Freeway and China Grade Loop.
Police said the crash involved two vehicles, including a white pickup truck. The make and model of the other vehicle have not been released yet. As per the investigation, the severity of the head-on crash caused the white pickup truck to roll over and land on top of a pipe near an oil field.
At least one person sustained major injuries, and two other individuals suffered minor injuries. There is no word yet on which victim was trapped in the pickup. As of this writing, the identities and current condition of the victims were not disclosed.
No information was available on how the crash occurred. Witnesses are asked to call the police and help determine the circumstances leading up to the collision.
