A man in a wheelchair was hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in Foothill Farms, Sacramento County, on Sunday night, June 16, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 10:00 p.m. in the area of Elkhorn and Andrea boulevards.
Authorities stated that a man in a wheelchair was crossing the roadway across Elkhorn when an unspecified vehicle hit him and fled the scene. The victim, whose name and age were not disclosed, was immediately transported to the hospital with moderate to major injuries. Police said that the driver of the vehicle did not render aid or call a rescue to help the victim after the collision.
As of this writing, the make and model of the vehicles have not been revealed. The suspect’s identity remains unknown. The police are looking for witnesses to help them identify the driver and determine the circumstances leading up to the crash.
