[06-14-2024] Alameda County, CA – Minor Injuries Reported Following Three-Vehicle Crash Involving Big Rig on I-580

Minor injuries were reported following a three-vehicle crash involving a big rig in Pleasanton on Friday morning, June 14, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just after 9:00 a.m. along I-580 near Hopyard Road and Dougherty Road. 

Authorities stated that a Costco big rig overturned along the westbound freeway, resulting in a three-vehicle collision. The make and model of the vehicles involved are unknown. Details on the cause of the incident and how it occurred were not immediately provided. 

Minor injuries were reported following the collision, but the condition of the injured victims was not disclosed. The total number of people involved remains unknown and none of them are identified.

The crash has caused severe traffic on the freeway. Commuters are advised to use alternative routes and avoid the crash site. 

Additional information has yet to be released by the authorities. Investigations are ongoing.
