One person was hospitalized following a hit-and-run collision in Kings County early Sunday morning, June 9, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the traffic incident occurred just before 2:00 a.m. near Jersey Avenue and 17th Avenue, just south of Lemoore and near Tachi Palace Casino Resort.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim lying on the side of the road, claiming that they were hit by a car. After preliminary evaluation, the victim was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno with serious injuries.
CHP could not find the vehicle involved anywhere around the crash site, rendering the case a hit-and-run. At this time, there is still no official description of the suspect or the make or model of the car.
The authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident. They are currently working with the nearby casino, hoping to get something from their security footage.
No additional information was immediately available. CHP is on the case.
