[06-08-2024] Los Angeles County, CA – At Least Three People Injured After Multi-Vehicle Collision Involving Stolen Car in Lancaster

[06-08-2024] At Least Three People Injured After Multi-Vehicle Collision Involving Stolen Car in LancasterAt least three people were injured after a multi-vehicle collision involving a stolen car in Lancaster on Saturday afternoon, June 8, 2024.

According to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station, the vehicular incident occurred at about 3:40 p.m. at Avenue J and 20th Street East.

The deputies said that a man driving a stolen gray Saturn SUV sped off as soon as he saw them, causing a crash against a silver sedan and an alleged other vehicle. No pursuit was initiated, as per the authorities.

The stolen SUV  and the silver sedan both sustained significant damage on their front end after supposedly running into a traffic signal pole following the initial crash. It is said that another vehicle was involved, but its participation in the accident remains unclear.

The driver of the SUV and two occupants of the sedan were transported via an ambulance to a nearby hospital after suffering non-life-threatening injuries. However, an on-scene news videographer claimed that a total of four people were injured. None of the involved persons in the collision were identified at this time.

The very same videographer also said that both the SUV and sedan drivers were driving under the influence at the time of the incident. Deputies have not yet been able to confirm these allegations.

No further information was immediately available. The authorities are still investigating.

Don’t Know What To Do After An Accident?

Your safety and rights depend on what you do next after an accident. Remember the following steps if you find yourself in one:

  • Check yourself for any injuries.
  • Stay on the scene, call 9-1-1, and wait for emergency responders.
  • Move your vehicle to the road shoulder if safe; turn on hazard lights.
  • Fully cooperate with law enforcement and stay until cleared to leave.
  • Document the scene and injuries with photos and videos.
  • Seek immediate medical attention.
  • Contact your insurance company and find a personal injury lawyer for legal advice.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You

Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
