[06-01-2024] Two People Injured After Two-Vehicle Collision Along Las Positas RoadTwo people were injured after a two-vehicle collision in Santa Barbara on Saturday morning, June 1, 2024.

According to the Santa Barbara City Fire Department, the crash occurred at about 8:40 a.m. on Las Positas Road at Las Positas Place.

The authorities said that a sedan pulling out of Las Positas Place crashed into another vehicle going south on Las Positas Road. The impact of the crash reportedly turned one of the cars involved on its roof.

It was later confirmed that the driver of the overturned vehicle sustained minor to moderate injuries and was taken via a ground ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Meanwhile, the other driver suffered only minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital by family members.

The authorities have yet to release the identities of the injured individuals and their current condition.

Las Positas Road was closed off between Modoc Road and Veronica Springs Road as the investigators examined the crash site.

The Santa Barbara Police Department is now investigating the collision.
