[05-30-2024] One Person Hospitalized After Fiery Four-Vehicle Crash in Santa ClaritaOne person was hospitalized after a fiery four-vehicle crash in Santa Clarita on Thursday morning, May 30, 2024.

According to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, the traffic accident happened at about 10:17 a.m. at the intersection of Bouquet Canyon Road and Seco Canyon Road.

Authorities said that the collision involved a white Kia Soul, a white Toyota Sequoia, a black Toyota SUV, and an unspecified dark-colored SUV. All four vehicles sustained minor to severe structural damage, with one bursting into flames.

Upon arrival, officials found the white Kia lodged against the wall on the south side of Bouquet Canyon Road, with its parts scattered across that specific area of the roadway and sidewalk. On top of having a charred vehicle battery after being engulfed in fire, the Kia also had its front bumper squished inward.

The white Toyota, which was on the center median, had visible but minimal damage. Alongside it was the dark-colored SUV that had its front bumper significantly damaged. Meanwhile, the black Toyota was seen facing the wrong way with apparent damage on its rear side.

One person was said to have sustained an injury following the massive collision. That person, who remains unnamed, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported at this time. 

Bouquet Canyon Road was closed off from Espuella Drive to Seco Canyon Road while the authorities cleared up the scene.

No further information was immediately available. The cause of the four-vehicle crash remains under investigation.
