According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the deadly incident happened at around 3:40 a.m. in the area of Limonite Avenue and Pacific Avenue.

It is said that the victim was on Limonite Avenue when he and his motorcycle were struck by a vehicle that immediately fled the scene. The impact of the crash threw the rider into the roadway, severely injuring him.

The authorities rushed the victim to a regional trauma center for treatment, but he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at the facility. Further information about the identity of the victim, including his name, age, and origin, was not available at this time.

A preliminary investigation led the authorities to the identification of the hit-and-run vehicle within Jurupa Valley. Its driver was also identified and detained. It was not immediately known if the suspect, who remains unnamed, was arrested.

It is still unclear if alcohol, drugs, or speed played a role in the incident. As of this writing, there were no additional details available.
