[05-18-2024] One Person Killed, Three Others Hospitalized Following Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving DUI on Fulton AvenueOne person was killed, and three others were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash involving a DUI in Sacramento on Saturday afternoon, May 18, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 5:30 p.m. on Fulton Avenue. 

Authorities stated that a 50-year-old man in a Dodge pickup truck was traveling southbound on Fulton Avenue when a Toyota SUV rear-ended his pickup truck. The Toyota driver was reportedly driving at high speeds prior to the collision. 

The Toyota then continued approaching the northbound lanes when it collided head-on with a Volkswagen SUV that had a baby inside. Although the occupants of the SUV were not injured, they were transported to the hospital as a precaution. 

Police said that the Dodge driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Toyota was transported to the hospital with minor injuries but was charged under arrest on suspicion of DUI. 

No further information was released. The investigation continues.
