[05-13-2024] 43-Year-Old Rider Killed After Motorcycle Vs. Vehicle Collision in Rancho CucamongaA 43-year-old rider was killed after a motorcycle vs. vehicle collision in Rancho Cucamonga on Monday afternoon, May 13, 2024.

According to the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department, the fatal crash happened at about 2:52 p.m. at the intersection of 8th Street and Archibald Avenue.

RCPD said that the motorcyclist was riding south on Archibald Avenue in his bike using the number one lane. At the same time, a red Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 52-year-old Rialto local was going north along the same roadway on a dedicated left turn lane approaching the 8th Street intersection.

The circumstances behind the accident remain unclear, but the rider, later identified as Joshua B. from Rancho Cucamonga, is said to have crashed into the Chevy as he tried to turn left onto 8th Street.

Joshua B. was rushed to San Antonio Regional Hospital after sustaining critical injuries as a result of the incident. He later succumbed to his injuries at the medical facility after life-saving efforts proved unsuccessful.  The driver of the Chevy appeared to be uninjured.

Further details were not immediately available, and the authorities are still gathering all the necessary information to determine the factors leading up to the deadly collision.
