A 26-year-old male pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle in Rolando, San Diego, on Sunday morning, May 12, 2024.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident occurred at around 4:30 a.m. in the 7000 block of El Cajon Boulevard, near the 70th Street intersection.
SDPD stated that a 20-year-old woman driving a 2021 Nissan Altima, for some reason, hit the pedestrian that was reportedly crossing the street. It is still unclear whether or not the victim was on a crosswalk when the collision took place.
The victim was quickly taken to a nearby hospital, where it was later discovered that he had a fractured pelvis as a result of the crash.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident but have since ruled out alcohol as a factor.
