[05-11-2024] One Person Hospitalized After Suspected Two-Vehicle DUI Collision in Valley GlenOne person was hospitalized after a suspected two-vehicle DUI collision in Valley Glen, Los Angeles County, on Saturday evening, May 11, 2024.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident occurred just before 6:00 p.m. in the 6400 block of Wilkinson Avenue near World Tobacco Smoke Shop.

Upon arrival, police found a crashed car on the side of World Tobacco Smoke Shop, leaving serious structural damage to the establishment. Investigators said that the crash involved two cars, with one veering into the shop as a result.

One of the drivers involved was reportedly taken to a local hospital to recover. The identity of the injured person, along with the extent of the injury sustained has not been disclosed as of yet.

LAPD said that the other driver involved was arrested for possibly driving under the influence. It is unclear if the suspected impaired driver was injured or not.

No further details were immediately provided. The police are still investigating.
