At least one person was killed following a two-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck in Fresno on Thursday night, May 9, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened on Highway 41 at South Avenue.
Authorities stated that the collision involved a Nissan vehicle and a big rig. Upon their arrival, the vehicle was found pinned beneath the semi-truck.
Police said that at least one person was pronounced dead at the scene. It is still unknown what caused the crash and the investigators are doing their best to determine if there is anyone else injured.
The northbound lanes of the roadway near the accident scene have been closed to allow for an investigation. Traffic is being diverted from the freeway at Manning Avenue.
