A pedestrian sustained major injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Roseville on Tuesday evening, May 7, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred on southbound Highway 65, near the left shoulder of eastbound I-80.
Authorities stated that the pedestrian ran from the right shoulder of the southbound Highway 65 heading to the left shoulder of I-80 when they were hit by a car. The victim suffered from major injuries due to the collision.
Police said that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. It is unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
