A pedestrian was killed following a hit-and-run collision in Phelan, San Bernardino County, on Thursday morning, May 2, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim’s body was found shortly after 7:00 a.m. along the side of Johnson Road, between Phelan Road and Nelson Road.

Officers said that a portion of the victim’s leg was missing. The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed yet.

When the victim was struck and what they were doing at the time of the crash remains unclear. Investigators have since labeled the incident a hit-and-run.
