[04-23-2024] Kern County, CA – At Least One Person Hospitalized Following Two-Vehicle Collision Along Highway 178 in Bakersfield

At least one person was hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision in Bakersfield on Tuesday afternoon, April 23, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at about 3:55 p.m. on Highway 178 at Union Avenue.

Reports indicate that a blue Ford pickup truck and a white Scion were found at the scene. The impact between the two vehicles caused the Scion to fall about fifty feet down an embankment.

One person was transported to a hospital in an unknown condition. One of the drivers was unharmed. 

The authorities have not confirmed the cause of the crash. Further details have yet to be released.
