[04-14-2024] Los Angeles County, CA – Four People Injured, Including Three Children, After Single-Vehicle Crash in Sylmar

Four people were injured, including three children, after a single-vehicle crash in Sylmar, Los Angeles, on Sunday evening, April 14, 2024.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the traffic incident occurred around 7:50 p.m. along the northbound Golden State (5) Freeway, just south of the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway.

Authorities said that a minivan occupied by one adult and three children struck the center divider of the freeway after its driver lost control of the vehicle for some reason. All four suffered serious injuries.

One person was reportedly trapped in the wreckage for a while before rescue arrived. It is still unclear whether the trapped person was the sole adult or one of the children involved.

Further information was not available at this time. Investigators are still collecting all possible evidence to determine the factors leading up to the accident.
