[03-31-2024] Santa Clara County, CA – Male Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle Along Saratoga Avenue in San Jose

A male pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in San Jose on Sunday night, March 31, 2024. 

According to the San Jose Police Department, the collision happened around 7:39 p.m. on the 500 block of Saratoga Avenue. 

Authorities stated that the pedestrian sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity was not immediately available and the police did not disclose any information about the driver and the vehicle involved.

Police said that the northbound lanes of Saratoga Avenue will remain closed for several hours as they conduct the investigation. Anyone with information regarding the collision is highly encouraged to contact the responding officials.
