[11-02-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – 9-Year-Old Girl Killed, Two Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash in Hesperia

A 9-year-old girl, identified as Mia-Tafi F., died following a two-vehicle crash in Hesperia on Monday morning, November 2, 2026.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to Escondido Avenue and Palm Street just after 7 a.m. The crash involved a white 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE and a red 2016 Honda Civic.

Preliminary information indicated that the Honda was attempting to turn from Palm Street onto Escondido Avenue, while the Mercedes-Benz was traveling southbound on Escondido Avenue. Palm Street is controlled by stop signs on both sides of the intersection.

Two girls, the only occupants of the Honda, and a woman from the Mercedes-Benz were taken to a hospital. One of the girls later died from her injuries.

Mission Crest Elementary School confirmed that one of its students died in the crash. The district said it is providing counseling and crisis support on campus.

The investigation remains ongoing.
