[09-25-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Long Beach

A woman was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run driver while walking in a marked crosswalk in Long Beach on Friday evening, September 25, 2026.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, the incident occurred at around 7:20 p.m. at Baltic Avenue and Burnett Street.

Police said the woman was walking northbound in a marked crosswalk on Baltic Avenue when a white pickup truck traveling southbound struck her while attempting to turn eastbound onto Burnett Street. The driver continued eastbound on Burnett Street without stopping.

Long Beach Fire Department personnel transported the woman to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

The woman’s identity was withheld pending notification of her relatives by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. Her approximate age was not immediately released.

Authorities continue to investigate the fatal hit-and-run crash.
