[09-19-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Man Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle in South LA

A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle in South Los Angeles on Saturday evening, September 19, 2026.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the INCIDENT  occurred at around 8:40 p.m. at the intersection of Vermont Avenue and 40th Place.

Police said the vehicle was traveling on Vermont Avenue when it struck the man as he crossed the street.

First responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Authorities did not immediately release his identity.

The driver involved remained at the scene, according to police.

The investigation remains ongoing.
