Two people sustained injuries in a rollover crash near Lake Piru in Ventura County on Saturday afternoon, September 19, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded at around 2:42 p.m. to Piru Canyon Road, about a mile north of Lake Piru and the campground entrance.
CHP said a vehicle occupied by a male driver and a female passenger rolled about 100 feet down an embankment.
The female passenger sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Ventura County Medical Center for treatment. The male driver suffered minor injuries.
The CHP’s Moorpark area office is investigating the crash.
