[08-28-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – E-Scooter Rider Injured in Crash With Vehicle in Gardena

A man riding an electric scooter was injured in a crash involving a vehicle in Gardena on Friday night, August 28, 2026.

According to the Gardena Police Department, the collision occurred around 10:00 p.m. at the intersection of Redondo Beach Boulevard and Vermont Avenue.

Police said the scooter rider was found lying in the roadway. He was unconscious but breathing when emergency personnel responded.

Paramedics transported the man to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance for treatment. His condition was not immediately available.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured and remained at the scene, cooperating with investigators.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
